The cottage is a short drive into Lincoln City with all it has to offer. 
The list is endless but Lincoln is the only place in the world where
you will find original copies of both the 1215 Magna Carta and
the 1217 Charter of the Forest and both are housed in Lincoln Castle. 


Cathedral




 

Visit the magnificent Gothic Cathedral and stroll round the cobbled street of Steep Hill, voted  “Britain’s Best Street” and lined with independent shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.

Butterfly Cottage is convenient for Lincoln’s famous Christmas Market, 7th to 10th December 2017 – book us early to avoid disappointment!

Closer by, 0.6 miles, if you fancy a swim, indulge in a spot of pampering, Simpsons Boutique Spar is located at Branston Hall where you can also indulge in fine dining in the Lakeside Restaurant,  overlooking  private parkland.




The Wagon & Horses Public House, 0.7 miles, offers excellent value for pub grub. Andy has an extensive menu and we can thoroughly recommend Wednesday night, Steak Night. His rump steak is absolutely delicious, never had a bad one yet!

Red Carpet Ready, 40 Hall Lane, Branston, 1.0 mile, is one of the UK’s largest Dress Specialists, stocking over 1500 dresses.  So, if you want to treat yourself to that special dress and enjoy a luxurious experience – get going.

Perhaps there is an event you wish to attend at Lincolnshire Showground – Butterfly Cottage is only 7.8 miles.

There are several golf courses nearby, 10 pin bowling 3.3miles. Newark Showground hosting the famous Newark Antique fairs, 16.6 miles.Red Arrows

We are a few minutes walk to a bus stop, with regular buses into the City.
